DevOps Engineer

Job Description

Position Overview:

Defines requirements and designs and verifies robust architecture, data and information management systems and components. Establishes design constraints and ensures architecture conforms to requirements. Incorporates architecture functions into software development lifecycle. Participates in the development and configuration management of architecture views and models. Assesses of feasibility of architecture solutions and alternatives. Performs trade-off analyses. Evaluates products to assess suitability for integration into delivery system environments. Drafts data and information management products and service standards. Assess impact of architectural decisions to product lifecycle. Contributes to architecture and data/information management standards and strategies.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and Enhance our DevOps operations in multiple Cloud Service environments
• Perform in the entire software development life cycle of the DevOps tool chain
• Collaborate on idea creation and development of the DevOps tool chain
• Support the ongoing lifecycle maintenance of the DevOps tool chain
• Support the software quality efforts of our DocLink product deliveries to our customers

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong communication skills, self-starter, with an entrepreneur spirit that can thrive in a distributed remote work environment.
• Strong desire to dream big and willing to go the extra mile to see their visions realized
• Ability and willingness to quickly adapt and learn new technology
• Cursory knowledge of Cloud technologies like AWS, Google, or Azure.
• Strong programming skills in scripting languages such as Power Shell, .NET, and SQL.
• Experience in software development, systems engineering, or integration and test experience with software systems
• Experience with Microsoft Windows Server OS’s, to include networking, IIS, and general management and configuration.

Additional Desired Qualification:

• Experience in technologies such as Kubernetes, Git, Helm, Azure, Docker, Prometheus, Grafana, or AppDynamics
• Experience on Automation, CI/CD techniques or software design patterns
• Understanding of secure software development methodologies and Security First mindset.
• Strong Working knowledge of the CI/CD process including debugging, test, and integration of software tools.
• Understanding of designing and implementing full stack/Microservice infrastructure.
• Have the ability to set up, and manage a tool-chain using tools such as Jenkins, Gradle, Maven, Artifactory, ELK, SonarQube, Jira, Prometheus, Helm, JBoss, Docker and more
