This position is a hybrid role based out of 3Q/DEPT's Chicago office.

About You

Reporting to the Accounts Receivable Manager and working closely with the Billing Team Lead, we are looking for an Accounts Receivable Accountant with billing experience for our Chicago office. As an Accounts Receivable Accountant, you will coordinate and process AR customer invoices and related AR tasks. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong attention to detail, utilize strong processes to ensure accuracy and a thorough approach to the AR function.

You’ll be responsible for:

● Invoicing clients based on the contract terms, email exceptions, passthrough costs and spend updated by the client services team

● Ensuring new contracts are billed based upon agreed terms

● Setting up the client record, obtaining relevant details and paperwork

● Ensuring all client files are up to date and accurate Keep track of emails and communication regarding billing and clients through the month to ensure accurate invoicing

● Assist reconciling the media buys with media passthrough invoices each month

● Other tasks may include:

  • Maintaining the AR subledger, applying payments and reviewing accounts for accuracy and completeness
  • Assisting in sending invoices to customers through email or e-portal delivery
  • Creating JE’s and participate in the month-end close process, including reconciliations and related reports
  • Following up on past dues and collection of AR
  • Providing all information required to our collections agency as and when needed

You’ll need to have:

● A minimum 3 to 5 years’ Accounts Receivable and billing experience

● A proficiency in Microsoft Office

● An end to end knowledge of accounting and how invoices, bills, journal entries and related transactions impact the company financials

● A strong attention to detail and high accuracy for work; furthermore, you’ll need to have an excellent ability to multi-task and remained organized in the billing process

● Demonstrate excellent communication skills (verbal and written) through frequent interactions with client service team members and other departments within the company

● An ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism while dealing with sensitive material

● A desire to be involved in a strong company culture that is highly collaborative and committed to propelling the business forward

● Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment

Additional things that will impress us:

● Knowledge and history working in ERP solutions; Intacct experience a plus

● Experience using G Suite for work
