Job Description

At PayPal (NASDAQ: PYPL), we believe that every person has the right to participate fully in the global economy. Our mission is to democratize financial services to ensure that everyone, regardless of background or economic standing, has access to affordable, convenient, and secure products and services to take control of their financial lives.
“Just Venmo me.” You may have heard—or used—this phrase before. Venmo has reached verb-status, becoming synonymous with “to pay back.” But Venmo isn’t just about transactions. It’s about interactions. It’s where your money finds meaning as you share, connect, and split purchases with friends. People love sending money with Venmo, and we've come a long way from our humble beginnings as a P2P app. Owned by PayPal, Venmo is growing by leaps and bounds. With over 83M users, Venmo has created a product that people truly love. But we’re only just getting started. We want to take the magic of sending money with Venmo and cascade it into every place where people use money. That means connecting people to their money in the most intuitive and fun way possible, then connecting people with each other. All that is going to take a lot of figuring out. Let’s figure it out together! We’re looking for intellectually curious people who want to be inspired—and inspire others—to fundamentally change our relationship with money. We’re a team that pushes one another to be our best creative and analytical selves while supporting and celebrating each other along the way. Working at Venmo means hustling to tackle intellectual challenges, develop creative solutions, and drive outsize value to our customer base. It also means having fun and genuinely enjoying the work and the people. You’ll work with some of the smartest, most diverse and forward-thinking people in the industry. This is an opportunity for someone who loves a challenge, wants to be stretched, build culture, and play to win.

We’re seeking an ambitious, creative, and analytical growth marketer who will develop and implement the owned-channel marketing strategy for the Financial Services portfolio. In this role, you’ll be accountable for a portion of the overall revenue growth of the Venmo Credit Card, the Venmo Debit Card, Direct Deposit, and Crypto – driving acquisition, engagement, and customer lifetime value. You’ll be responsible for working with multiple stakeholders across marketing, commercial, and product to gain strategic alignment and hit business goals. You’ll define innovative, break-through marketing in owned channels such as email, in-app, push, and other digital placements – and in doing so, you’ll have the opportunity to re-imagine and define the future of financial services on Venmo. With over 83M customers, you will directly impact millions of lives as you support our mission to make Venmo ubiquitous, simplify payments, and enable secure and fun experiences.

This role offers an unprecedented opportunity to impact Venmo’s immediate and long-term success, and to help define the future vision of the Venmo brand and business. The ideal candidate for this role has a unique ability to take a diverse, complex range of business inputs and translate them into a clear vision and marketing strategy. They can rally and unite internal and external partners to work toward shared goals with clarity and purpose. This is an opportunity for someone who loves to be challenged intellectually, operates with flexibility, leads with kindness, and is looking for an opportunity to have an outsized impact on the future of our business.
