Job Description

Track1099, a new business unit within Avalara, is looking for experienced Ruby on Rails developers to join a fast-growing, very small, dynamic team.

The Software Developer's role is to develop, implement, and document software features, APIs, user interface, user experience and any other tasks related to software development for www.track1099.com. You will make important contributions to our Ruby on Rails 6.1/Ruby 3.0 Production code base right away!

We work together on everything -- architecture, product UI/UX, and best practices. It's collaboration, not competition and you'll enjoy the camaraderie.

Required and Desired Experience

• Over 5 years of professional experience designing and developing in Ruby on Rails and Competency in Javascript
• Desired: Rails 6.x, Backbone, React and Jquery, CSS/HTML, Bootstrap, Ubuntu, AWS
• Ability to architect and implement elegant software independently
• BS Degree in computer science preferred
