Eaton’s Commercial and Residential Distribution Solutions (CRDS) Division is currently seeking a Senior UX Designer to join our team. This position can be based at our Peachtree City, GA or Moon Township, PA facility or can be based remotely. Relocation assistance will be provided to Peachtree City and Moon Township. All remote candidates must currently reside within the United States and must work out of a United States remote location.

Eaton’s Commercial and Residential Distribution Solutions has an opening for a Senior UX Designer in our Connected Solutions business. The Sr. UX Designer will be responsible for leading the human-centered design of web and mobile applications and how they interact with our products including performing user research, creating user interface designs, and working closely with a team of software developers to ensure an optimal experience for our users.

In this function you will:

• Identify product opportunities through human-centered discovery and research methods, contribute to complex UX ecosystems, and inspire product teams to push the boundaries of what’s possible.
• Translate research and business plans into product concepts that lead to intuitive user experiences.
• Facilitate product development using personas, journey maps, research reports, sketches, wireframes, and prototypes.
• Execute across all project phases from early discovery and research through detailed visual design.
• Work closely with software development teams, engineers, and marketing teams to guide products from inception through delivery.
• Work closely with Eaton’s Human-Centered Design Team to align with corporate design and branding standards, facilitate Design Thinking workshops within the business, and advocate for best practices.
• Effectively advocate for users in a corporate climate, providing day-to-day design leadership.

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 2 years as User Experience (UX) Designer/Industrial Designer

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Industrial Design, or related field from an accredited institution
• Four (4) or more years of experience working as a Human-Centered Designer, User Experience Designer, or Industrial Designer
• Experience and exposure to Design Thinking tools and methodologies.
• Experience with Agile software development
• Strong hand sketching and digital visual communication skills

Position Criteria:

• Must have an online portfolio of research and design that can be accessed via link on resume or application
• Build strong relationships and operating rhythms with leaders inside and outside the core UX team.
• Foster Eaton’s culture and principles, while setting new standards in executional and operational excellence.
• Support co-workers and mentor junior staff
• Strong interpersonal skills
• The ability to grasp complex and diverse customer needs and distill them into clean, understandable solutions.

Eaton provides a competitive total rewards package commensurate with applicable skills, knowledge, and experience and consistent with internal and external market practices. The annual salary range for this role is $100,000-125,000 a year.
