Eaton’s Wiring Devices group is currently seeking a Graphical Designer to join our team. This position is based at our Peachtree City, GA office.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a vibrant, creative and energetic individual that would like to work in a corporate environment that is dynamic, fast-paced and deadline-oriented. The graphic designer is responsible for conceptualization and implementation of design solutions that meet presentation strategies from concept to completion. The graphic designer will play a lead role on projects in creating concepts, layouts and final art. The graphic designer will be in a collaborative, team environment and work on a variety of projects, including trade shows, literature, advertising, sales promotion, retail merchandising and packaging.

In this function you will:

• Create designs, concepts and layouts based on knowledge of layout principles and esthetical design concepts in accordance with AISJ standards and adopted branding.
• Create final files for printing.
• Assist in the development of new campaigns, brainstorming and execution.
• Work in conjunction with the project manager on quality control and production of graphic design materials.
• Design for a broad range of marketing communications deliverables including trade shows, literature, retail merchandising and packaging.
• Liaise with external printers for printing jobs.
• Responsible for design, proofing and editing.
• Help prepare and review reports and presentations.
• Keep up to date technically and apply new knowledge to the position.
• Manage photo libraries.
• Any other duties that may be assigned by the marketing communications manager.

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• Four-year related degree and a minimum of 5 years design experience in an in-house creative department or design firm
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Peachtree City, GA will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future

Preferred qualifications:

• Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
• Expert knowledge in the graphic production process, file types and formats.
• Understanding of retail packaging and packaging components.
• Knowledge of media production, communication techniques and methods.
• Strong understanding of visual and typographical hierarchies.
• Basic understanding of brand standards and guidelines.
• Understanding of digital design trends.
• Basic knowledge of photography process.
