Job Description

Position Title: Staff Accountant

Location: Wichita

Reports To: Sr. Manager, Accounting

Responsible for validating and uploading inventory cost into SAP. Responsible for recording inventory related entries in accordance with GAAP. Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and ensure that issues are resolved in a timely manner. Prepare monthly reports for the inventory cycle count program. Assist in Sarbanes Oxley compliance and auditing. Provide ad hoc support to the Senior Manager of Accounting.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for maintaining accurate material costs within SAP for the Technical Apparel business.
  • Responsible for month end closing activities related to Inventory for the O&R business.
  • Responsible for the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts for the O&R business.
  • Responsible for preparing monthly reports for the Coleman cycle count program as well as providing assistance with the external observations and audits of each warehouse location.
  • Responsible for recording monthly journal entries in accordance with GAAP.
  • Responsible for preparation of monthly Sarbanes Oxley control reports.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • Minimum of five years of related experience.
  • Strong account reconciliation skills.
  • Solid analytical, problem solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy.
  • High level of and computer proficiency in Microsoft office applications.
  • Experience in SAP general ledger or equivalent system preferred.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and tasks under pressure.
