- Design, conduct and document biological experiments using cell culture and tissue culture systems under minimal supervision. - 50%

- Develop, troubleshoot, and optimize experimental methods to improve and supplement current experimental techniques-10%

- Perform scientific literature review, interact with internal and external members of the scientific community to keep abreast of new developments in skin science. - 10%

The role of scientist in the Skin Biology consists of performing biological experiments using cell and tissue cultures, accompanied by data collection, analysis, and interpretation. This requires implementation of the aseptic technique to maintain a safe and sterile environment.
Techniques routinely used for data acquisition consists microscopy, and various immunochemical techniques including ELISA assays, immunoblotting, and immunohistochemistry/immunocytochemistry
A background in biology, biochemistry or a related field with 3years’ experience in a research environment is required. Laboratory and organizational skills are required including the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong written and communication skills are desired, as the role requires technical documents to be written on experiments performed and collaboration across multiple functional groups. The job function also requires proficiency in Microsoft suite applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
