About the Role

The FareHarbor Sites department seeks a well-rounded, adaptable learning and development professional to grow the department’s current training and operations team. This position will support the planned size increase of the department, expansion of product offerings, and growth of the company as a whole by providing consistently excellent internal and customer-facing communications.

Applicants should include a portfolio or at least two examples of previous technical writing, training material development, or other L&D work to be considered for this position. Personal or classroom projects can be accepted.

What you’ll do here:

  • Manage the internal knowledge base for the department. Including, but not limited to:
    • Work with SMEs to create or maintain internal process and tool documentation
    • Meet with collaborative teams to identify cross-departmental training needs, find opportunities for process/communication improvement
    • Design and deliver assessments to identify knowledge/skill gaps within the Sites department, collaborative teams, and B2B customers.
    • Draft, review and publish easy-to-use resources to address identified knowledge/skill gaps for all audiences.
  • Assist in onboarding and supporting FareHarbor Sites employees and clients globally. Including, but not limited to:
    • Create, review, and/or revise training materials for continuing education and new product releases
    • Create, review, and/or revise training materials for employee onboarding
    • Deliver training materials as needed (VILT/VCT & ILT)
    • Represent the Sites department during product review meetings and herald upcoming changes to the department.
    • Create, review and/or revise client facing training materials for continuing client education and overall FareHarbor site support
  • Analyze quality control data. Including, but not limited to:
    • Review and summarize quarterly reports of website builder efficiency
    • Trawl data for insight on feedback trends, new feature adoption, and other training opportunities
    • Deliver recommendations to team leads and quality control team as appropriate

Requirements:

  • Basic understanding of Markup language, XML or HTML
  • Technical writing experience
    • Provide portfolio or two examples of work
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Experience using a LMS/LXP to draft, revise, deliver and grade training materials (Lessonly, Articulate Rise/360, Eduflow, Cornerstone, Degreed, etc.)
    • (Lessonly preferred)
  • Previous Virtual Instructor-Led Training facilitation (VILT)
  • Adept presentation skills
  • Experience with instructional design, data collection and analysis
  • Proficient using Google Workspace Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, Meet)

Bonus Points:

  • Video/Graphic development (Camtasia, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.)
  • CMS experience (Wix, Weebly, Wordpress, Drupal, etc.)

Salary Range: $55,440-$69,300 plus 10% bonus potential
