Job Description

Have you ever wondered what software engineers are using to design and manufacture new products?

As the SaaS Incubation Project Manager you are responsible for managing the hypothesis testing process for all new SaaS offerings to help deliver value to those engineers (our customers) in the very large problem space of product development (design, engineering and manufacturing). We are growing our product incubation team to help guide our product management teams through the early phases of the new software product development process. You will focus on managing a portfolio of early-stage opportunities, test hypotheses, define milestones and success metrics for product-market fit. You will drive execution to incubate products to continuously validate and steer them for go-to-market launch. You know how to address the challenges of culture change in a large organization and your strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills help you improve processes you don’t directly own.

The ideal candidate is an entrepreneurial, data-driven project manager with a product mindset who has a passion for testing and developing new products in an ambiguous environment with a very large problem space.

This role will report directly to Director, SaaS Incubation Program.

Responsibilities
  • Management of all SaaS hypothesis test pipeline
  • Hypothesis test discovery and execution management for software development teams for customer driven innovation
  • Create and maintain momentum, helping incubation teams move forward swiftly and with rigor, a learning mindset and a bias toward action
  • Contribute to and maintain hypothesis testing best practices and handbooks, experiment templates and prototype development guides needed for SaaS product development
  • Define, align and continuously improve customer validation processes with customer community manager and sales reps
  • Drive a culture of exploration and validating through continuous experimentation
  • Work closely with incubation program management, user research, and product management to define and optimize the SaaS New Product Introduction process.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to define the SaaS go to market approach and SaaS readiness path including requirement definition for product development
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, statistics, business administration, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience working in project and/or program management
  • Experience in product development and/or partnering with product managers and engineering teams to launch new products to market
  • Experimental mindset, adept at qualitatively and quantitatively validating product concepts and assumptions through rapid and iterative testing
  • Pragmatic and action-oriented, you proactively overcome obstacles and keep project moving forward
  • Exceptional work ethic towards change management
  • Sophisticated presentations skills both verbally and technically
  • Proficient in MS Office and Asana, SmartSheets or other project management software
We will High Five you if you have:
  • PMP Certification
  • LUMA (or similar human centered design) Certification
  • A proven record of business improvements projects / development projects
  • Proven experience in working in a product incubator environment
