About the Role

We are looking for a leader to build and manage our global employer brand strategy and recruitment marketing activities. The ideal candidate will be passionate about ensuring Roku is highly visible to prospective candidates worldwide as an employer of choice and awesome place to work. This role requires creativity, innovation and experience to shape the future of employer brand communications at Roku. The individual must be data-driven, operationally savvy, a masterful writer and storyteller, highly collaborative, and skilled at building, managing and developing a small but mighty team. This role reports to the Director of Internal Communications & Employer Brand and works closely with Talent Acquisition and many other teams across in the company. The position is located at our office in San Jose, Calif. We will also consider applicants in other Roku office locations, including New York, Boston, Chicago, Austin and Santa Monica, Calif.

Responsibilities: What You’ll be Doing

  • Work with key stakeholders to articulate Roku’s employer brand strategy and activity roadmap.
  • Establish our employer brand voice and message framework.
  • Stay on top of employer brand trends and best practices.
  • Manage Roku’s presence on the Roku Jobs site, other job seeker sites and social media, using a deep understanding of best practices/analytics to grow and engage our followings.
  • Source and create a steady stream of content across communication channels.
  • Develop campaigns and activities that demonstrate why Roku is a great place to work.
  • Collaborate with our designers and vendors to develop, manage and edit creative assets, including banners, videos, photos and collateral.
  • Work with Talent Acquisition to create, test and optimize targeted recruitment campaigns that generate a strong pipeline of talent and ensure we reach the right candidates at the right time with the right messaging.
  • Mobilize employees as brand ambassadors to share our story with their networks in a compelling, consistent and authentic way.
  • Identify and vet employer award/recognition opportunities, determine our strategy and manage application processes.
  • Evaluate external events and determine sponsorship and speaking participation. Prepare speakers and provide communication and marketing support.

Competencies: We’re excited if you have...

  • 7+ years of experience in employer brand management within communications, marketing or recruitment teams
  • Passion for the candidate experience and proven experience managing, executing and measuring successful employer brand programs
  • Amazing writing/storytelling and editing skills
  • Experience managing digital marketing, social media and design creation
  • A solid understanding of recruitment marketing platforms and tools
  • Strong visual design sensibility; video editing experience a plus
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with tactical implementation
  • Data-driven mindset and proven track record of driving business results
  • Good instincts and judgment
  • Experience building, managing and motivating teams
  • Strong project management and organizational skills; meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent work ethic – must be curious, creative, resourceful and self-driven
  • Ability to collaborate and triage across a variety of stakeholders and departments
