What is the purpose of this role?

A successful Training Consultant will change individual’s behaviour to positively impact business results by consulting in training and development, system checks and operational standards. Additionally, a Training Consultant will facilitate training that empowers and motivates whilst building competencies to improve individual performance and overall contribution to restaurant results.

Through a fair and consistent approach to national standards for student enrolment, training delivery and assessment you will also assist in ensuring compliance standards are always met and outcomes are aligned with goals. This role is ideally suited to someone who has previous McDonald's restaurant experience or transferrable training experience.

What are the focus points of this role?

• Conducting Training Courses that inspire crew and managers to achieve high performance results
• Facilitating McDonald’s curriculum in virtual and face to face environments
• Coaching others on how to measure and improve results, how to identify the root cause of problems and how to create actions to solve these problems
• Communicates with key stakeholders regarding the success of opportunities for people development within a restaurant
• Actively building and maintaining relationships with Owner/Operators, Operations Managers, Consultants and Restaurant Managers and builds relationships with participants that maximise learning potential
• Providing regular feedback to enhance participant development, encourage the transfer of knowledge, optimise return on investment and improve restaurant results
• Be an Operations expert and consultant on McDonald’s operating standards, management tools, people platforms and training systems
• Maintaining a register of invoices and Administration/Tuition Fees charged to restaurants and all student enrolments and participation in training courses
• Executing project work as allocated
• Ensuring adherence to VET Quality Framework
• Staying up to date with the most current and effective employee development approaches
• Applying professional development activities as required to maintain VET and industry currency

Qualifications

What skills do I need to be successful in this role?

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Confidence in conducting presentations in an engaging way
• Enthusiastic about training and development of people with a high focus on quality training
• Customer focused at all times
• Well organised and able to work to tight deadlines
• Able to work with minimal supervision, proactive in maintaining current knowledge on all operational standards and procedures
• Able to identify root causes to problems and adopt an inclusive manner to identify resolutions, comfortable providing constructive feedback
• Ethical and responsible, understands and adheres to McDonald’s Standards of Business Conduct always

Other Requirements

• Hold a current Working with Children Check or willingness to complete if successful
• Complete a National Criminal Check if successful
• Hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or attend mandatory class if successful
