The VP, Revenue is the individual in charge of new business and customer retention and expansion. Leveraging knowledge of the roles both sales and marketing play in driving growth, they have ultimate accountability in aligning all revenue-generating departments.

This position is a dynamic and cross-functional role that works closely with marketing/demand generation, sales, customer success, and service delivery to deliver solid new business and net revenue retention.

What am I going to do?

  • Oversee the revenue stack. Track and manage all leads, deals, and the revenue performance of all account executives, CSMs, and account directors.
  • Manage new business. Close deals and optimize sales procedures and compensation structures. Oversee SDR operations and activity.
  • Manage existing business. Oversee all expansions and renewals, improve retention and collaborate with the customer success team to ensure high-quality experiences for customers.
  • Manage revenue operations and processes, including contracts, analyzing and improving lead performance, forecasting, budgeting, and performance metrics
  • Manage revenue process. Review and update/document new business sales processes as required over time, including but not limited to: qualification and discovery process, deal stages, solution selling, cross-department activity, leverage, etc., for the sales/CS team at large.
  • Lead controller - ownership of lead routing rules, distribution, and management oversight, including regular auditing to ensure leads are being properly worked and that the lead process is being adhered to.
  • Sales Enablement. Collaborate with the head of enablement to collect feedback, identify enablement opportunities, and improve sales efficiency.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in revenue oversight in a digital-first business.
  • Proven record of achieving in sales roles.
  • Proven leadership experience overseeing 10+ people in the US.
  • Software knowledge:
  • Microsoft Office: Word, PPT, Excel
  • Google Apps: Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Analytics
  • CRM - Salesforce or other (we use HubSpot, and that’s preferred)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational time management skills
  • A self-starter and result-oriented.
