Job Description

THE OPPORTUNITY:

The Business Analyst will be responsible for supporting Agile development teams and assigned Operational area(s) with end-to-end business analysis for various business units within Freedom Debt Relief. This is a key role as part of our product management and engineering teams and has a direct impact on the efficiency and effectiveness of company operations.
We seek an individual capable of deeply understanding and owning accurate, insightful business analysis. This person must have highly effective communication skills, exceptional time management skills, and an entrepreneurial and proactive approach. An ability to comfortably work with both senior management as well as end-users is also critical for success in this role.

THE ROLE:

Research and find opportunity (30%)

  • Identify, define and document business needs, objectives and current problems
  • Identify opportunities for improving business processes through information systems and/or non-system changes
  • Research and document areas of opportunity within the assigned Operations department(s)

Defining opportunity (30%)

  • Define and document current business processes and flows
  • Assist operational stakeholders and BA team with creating acceptance criteria for projects, features, and enhancement requests
  • Assist in analyzing the feasibility of, and developing requirements for, new systems and enhancements to existing systems; ensure the system design fits the needs of the users
  • Assist with tracking and documenting changes for functional and business specifications
  • Write basic universally understood procedures or flowcharts for documentation and training purposes

Supporting and assessing changes (40%)

  • Work with the QA team and directly assist with User Acceptance Testing when necessary
  • Act as a liaison between departmental end-users, technology teams, product, Operational Risk, and training teams
  • Work with training and documentation teams to create or update documentation related to upcoming changes
  • Ensure business partners have deep understanding of changes and new features
  • Act as a point of first point of contact for production support issues

REQUIREMENTS / CHARACTERISTICS:

  • Ability to document current business processes (Freedom Debt Relief operations) and find pain points for end-users
  • Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to develop recommendations and present findings to the product and scrum teams
  • Ability to learn quickly and thrive in a complex, dynamic environment in which you will need to simultaneously manage multiple projects that vary in scope and complexity
  • An entrepreneurial and proactive demeanor
  • Ability to create and read flow charts
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently to meet tight deadlines
  • Experience working with Salesforce
  • Deep understanding of Payment operations, Customer Services, Underwriting, Wholesale Operations, and/or Negotiations processes
  • Experience working in an Agile environment a plus

Qualifications:

  • College degree preferred (Business, economics or analytical field a plus) or equivalent experience
  • Deep understanding of the current business process (Freedom Debt Relief) and procedures (2+ years preferred)
