The Security Technology Group is responsible for extensive testing across multiple technologies and systems being developed at Akamai. The group is focused on highly scalable and mission critical software for Akamai like Licensed video delivery and DNS based security products enabling our customers to provide high-quality streaming video and internet security to their end-users.

You will join a team working of QA engineers supporting quality in a product which is a leader in protecting enterprise mobile and cellular devices in an increasingly `office anywhere` environment. You will be responsible for adding new test scenarios to increase automated test coverage as well as improving existing tests.

As a Software Development Engineer in Test Intern, you will be responsible for:

• Working on a team of experienced QA engineers
• Implementing automated tests
• Helping to develop testing tools and test automation frameworks

• Have basic troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Be able to understand and review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents
• Have an excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Have great attention to detail
• Possess basic knowledge of testing software

Work in a way that works for you

Our 6-month intern program starts in July. The program requires you to be available 40 hours per week during the summer months (July-September). We offer the opportunity to work part time during the academic year (October-December).
