As Director of Marketing, Europe, Hospitality Cloud, you will be responsible for architecting and executing marketing strategy and initiatives across UK and Europe that increase awareness, generate demand, and support renewals for Cvent hospitality solutions. You will lead a marketing team based in the UK and in India, partner closely with the Vice President of International Sales in London and report directly to the Vice President of Marketing at Cvent headquarters in the US. You will create region-specific marketing campaigns while also localising and executing global initiatives in partnership with marketing teams in the US. As a member of the Cvent Europe senior leadership team, you will play a market-facing role through engagement with customers and participation in speaking and media opportunities.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Develop marketing strategy, budgets, plans and KPIs to support hospitality sales in Europe
- Lead and manage growing UK/India-based marketing team of demand generation, content development, and sales enablement professionals
- Drive multi-channel B2B lead generation through programs and campaigns with particular focus on content marketing, partner marketing, live events (in-person, virtual, hybrid) and tradeshows
- Collaborate with sales managers to improve lead conversion, drive pipeline, and accelerate sales
- Work with global product marketing team to inform and refine identification of personas, product positioning, market messaging, and go-to-market strategy
- Work with global customer marketing team to design and deploy programs targeting named accounts, top buyers and product users to drive retention, upsell/cross-sell and advocacy
- Work with US- and India based counterparts to develop, refine and localize global campaigns and leverage centralized marketing operations and shared services capabilities
- Lead regional PR activities through local agency relationship and work with global corporate communications office
- Pursue and execute speaking opportunities and trade shows and conferences in the region
- Optimize sales enablement assets to align to and advance sales process
- As Europe senior leadership team member, influence Cvent internal policies/practices for region
What You Need for this Position:
- University Degree
- 10+ years of B2B marketing experience with demonstrated record of success
- 5+ years leading marketing team responsible for Europe region
- 5+ years working in marketing in a multi-national company
- Record of working effectively with B2B sales leadership and teams
- Significant experience in event marketing, content marketing, digital marketing, campaign execution, account-based marketing, and campaign measurement
- Demonstrated proficiency in the development, use, analysis and publication of primary survey research to enable content marketing efforts
- Ability to build and sustain relationships with relevant associations, publishers and other partners important to extending Cvent’s reach and engagement with our personas
- Demonstrated strength working cross-functionally with product management, customer success, marketing operations and market research.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Superior analytical capabilities for interpreting, packaging and presenting data for internal or external audiences and for assessing the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and programs
- Able to operate in both a strategic capacity and a hands-on execution capacity
- Fast learner with the ability to execute and thrive in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment
Very Nice to Have:
- Experience in, or with company selling to, hospitality/travel market is highly desirable
- Experience working for a US-based company
- Speak additional European language(s)
- Advanced degree
- Knowledge of Salesforce and Marketo
