Description:The Lockheed Martin Global Accounting organization, within Global Financial Services (GFS), is seeking a team member to support international accounting tasks such as non-US tax filings, financial reporting, and audit requirements for foreign subsidiaries and foreign branches of Lockheed Martin’s subsidiaries. The Global Accounting team based in Lakeland, FL is responsible for the majority of the corporation’s US and International and financial reporting obligations.
In this role you will:
- Work with employees based in certain European, Middle Eastern, and African (EMEA) jurisdictions
- Complete monthly balance sheet account reconciliations
- Perform monthly, annual, and ad-hoc compilation and reconciliation activities to complete , financial reporting, and audit activities in assigned jurisdictions
- Interact as the primary point of contact with internal and external auditors
- Support the accounting for derivative instruments (ASC815)
- Calculate revenue and balance sheet positions for production and services contracts (ASC606/IFRS15)
- Complete monthly tasks to maintain indirect (VAT or GST) filings
- Support technical accounting initiatives or special projects as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors level degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance or related degree
- Candidate must be able to develop relationships and work effectively with others in different international locations.
- Candidate must be able to adjust work schedule as necessary to ensure critical monthly deadlines are met.
- Minimum of 4 years of :
- Accounting or functions
- Application and/or interpretation of US GAAP and/or IFRS principles in tasks
Desired Skills:
- 6 years of relevant experience
- Effective communication skills as demonstrated through the application and interview process
- accounting for contracts and revenue recognition per ASC606/IFRS15
- working with external accounting firms and/or auditors
- creating and reviewing financial statements
- with financial accounting tasks in SAP (ECC or S4 clients)
- degree and/or Certified Public Accountant
