Job Description

Smartsheet is in an amazing period of growth and is seeking an APAC Senior Demand Generation Manager who will own digital Demand Gen activities in APAC. This is a critical marketing role, reporting to the VP, Demand Generation, with responsibility for driving Demand in our key APAC markets, resulting in increased Sales Opportunities, Pipeline and Closed Won deals for our APAC Sales teams. The ideal candidate is results-oriented, proactive and enthusiastic when it comes to creating and optimising campaigns and programs that help sales teams be successful. We are looking for a persistent self-starter ready for a great challenge and an even bigger opportunity.

With a commitment to investing in the APAC region to better serve new and existing customers in Australia, New Zealand, Japan and the greater Asia Pacific geography, Smartsheet opened up its third international office in Sydney in January 2020. This is an opportunity to be a part of Smartsheet at this exciting time, working with an outstanding team to build and expand the Smartsheet brand across a new market.

You will:

  • Drive strategy and creation of all APAC demand generation campaigns to ensure we meet pipeline and sales goals for expansion and new business motions
  • Generate leads for our APAC Sales teams, measure & report on all critical sales funnel metrics (i.e. Meeting rates) to ensure Demand Gen programs are exceeding desired Pipeline & Closed Won ARR targets
  • Run targeted campaigns (both localised HQ-led and locally created), measure and analyse performance, and identify new opportunities based on customer and business feedback
  • Program manage ads, landing pages, SEO content articles & sales team Outreach sequences in key APAC markets, partnering with Demand Gen and other teams on execution
  • Ensure tracking and reporting of all programs and initiatives - tracking ROI and key learnings
  • Monitor competitive activities across demand gen channels and drive tactics and responses
  • Ensure alignment with our New Business teams, Client Development teams and Sales Development Representatives across all campaigns and projects, associated lead-follow up processes and reporting
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including field marketing, brand, creative, content, product marketing, events and research teams

You have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, computer science or equivalent discipline
  • 5-8 years experience implementing growth strategies, via conversion optimisation and/or SEM (SEO or PPC), preferably in a B2B SaaS environment
  • 2+ years experience partnering with B2B Sales Teams on high value Marketing/Demand Gen initiatives
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Proactive, self-starter, with high energy and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • High curiosity with a deep analytical skill set to identify insights and optimise execution of campaigns/programs
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Prior experience at a technology company is highly desirable, as is experience working in global/matrixed organisations
  • Ability to work in a small team environment, but also work effectively with the broader APAC business and all cross-organisational functions.
