Associate Director, Data Strategy Execution - Dev Ops

Job Description

KPMG is currently seeking an Associate Director, Data Strategy Execution-DevOps to join our Data Strategy & Operations organization.

Responsibilities:

• Define and implement a business operations strategy with operational processes that align with the overall information handling and protection strategy, including planning, execution and monitoring responsibilities
• Document process owners and create a decision tree which maps troubleshooting steps for key processes
• Oversee the implementation and documentation of the appropriate governance structure to prescribe data handling, protection, and user provisioning controls
• Monitor the movement of data between zone-based containers to include raw, harmonized, enriched, curated, analytic and training zones
• Administer operational activities related to data management such as metadata capture, data quality, data security, data lineage, and data inventory
• Collaborate with DSO Risk Council to Define, develop, and monitor Risk & Controls processes and procedures for the Data Lake

Qualifications:

• Minimum eight years of experience working in a data operations environment with strong understanding of the data product lifecycle
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
• Experience working in an Agile environment
• Strong understanding of Azure and its services including but not limited to ADLS, Data Factory, Databricks and SQL MI, and the enterprise tools Azure integrates with such as Salesforce and Informatica
• Background working in a data operations environment and understands the data product lifecycle
• Excellent verbal/written communication, collaboration, analytical and presentation skills to lead an environment driven by customer service and teamwork; US Citizenship is required; Bi-lingual in Spanish a plus
