The Natural History Museum at Tring in Hertfordshire was once the personal collection of Lionel Walter, the second Lord Rothschild, upon Lord Rothschild’s death in 1937, the Museum and his collections were presented to the Nation to become part of the Natural History Museum. The Public Museum at Tring is part of the Natural History Museum. All Museum staff provide a wide range of services to both Museum visitors and internal customers.

Building on our world-leading collection, global reputation for science and as one of the world’s leading visitor attractions, the NHM has ambitious plans, making this a truly exciting time to be part of the NHM team.
About the role
The Natural History Museum at Tring is looking for an out-going individual to enhance our housekeeping service at the Tring site.
As part of the Housekeeping Team, you will be part of a flexible, friendly and efficient service that provides a clean and safe environment for all visitors and staff at the Museum.
Specifically, the overall purpose of the job is to provide and maintain a high standard of cleanliness within the Museums’ galleries and spaces, carry out portering duties and non-specialist maintenance tasks.
About you
You will have experience of housekeeping work and/or non-specialist maintenance work. You work effectively as part of a team and have strong communication and interpersonal skills. You will have a basic understanding of Health and Safety regulations and hold a full driving licence.
