Here at Mintel we are on a mission to grow our inhouse digital marketing team in London, where you will be a part of a team of specialists covering emails, marketing automation, paid search, social and digital performance globally.

Who are we looking for?
Our Email Marketing Manager role needs someone with a real passion for email marketing and the value of email marketing within the performance channels, how they tie in together and how we can take Mintel to the next level. This role holder will look after global email production and therefore give you real knowledge and interesting insights across the regions.
We are looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented and performance-driven individual to join our global, in-house digital performance marketing team based in London.
In this role you will take our email programs to the optimal with continuous operational efficiency and growing the channel further. You will be responsible and be able to take ownership for customer engagement and campaign performance.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- End To end development of email campaigns via Marketo - including but not limited to; segmentation, template designs, refreshing campaigns & landing page creation
- Managing and monitoring multiple nurture programs, conducting regular reviews, and analysis to help ensure leads progress through the sales funnel
- Optimise email campaign messaging, creative, targeting and segmentation through frequent testing and data analysis, with documentation of the results and sharing best practices.
- Creating engaging, innovative, and relevant content, designing templates across the globe
- Analyse campaign performances, identify opportunities and make data driven decisions to maximise the performance
- Monitor, manage, and optimise campaigns and campaign assets to improve ROI, using Marketo’s analytics suite to report on the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns.
- Collaborating with design team, PR and the wider marketing team on campaign launches, how emails would fit into the customer journey and align with business objectives
- Ensure email marketing campaigns are in alignment with commercial objectives and deployed in line with the regional marketing plans and global calendars.
- Routinely audit the lead database to ensure data is high quality, and to ensure we remain compliant.
- You’ll be the main point of contact for email related enquiries
- Identify opportunities for process efficiency and automation in the marketing team, and work cross-functionally to implement them.
- Keep up to date with email competitive landscape, market trends, industry innovations and best practices.
- Assist with ad hoc automation, email marketing and CRM projects where needed.
What We’re Looking For:
- 4+ years of experience in email marketing role with automation platform exposure
- Solid hands-on knowledge and experience of marketing email and automation platforms like Marketo as well as Salesforce
- Outstanding communication and people skills; ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
- Established expertise in email marketing, in a specialist role, with experience creating and driving successful marketing automation and email campaigns
- Knowledge and experience of key global privacy requirements and processes (ex. GDPR, PECR, BDSG, CCPA, CASL, LGPD).
- Comfortable with data – understanding data structures and data list management
- Knowledge of CRM techniques including segmentation, customer retention, acquisition, and engagement
- Strong experience and insight on web analytic tools and measurement techniques for email marketing
- Strong attention to detail, planning and quality of work e.g proof-reading, spelling, copywriting, analytics reporting
- Excellent command of English both verbal and written
- A great problem solver and patient personality.
- Good communication skills and team player
- Enthusiastic about learning and gaining new skills
- German/French speaker desirable
- Experience with HTML formatting and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, et al) experience is beneficial
- Ability to multitask with a strong inclination towards action.
- Confident, ambitious, curious and self-motivated person with the will to drive forward new ideas.
We would especially like to hear from candidates with Marketo implementation experience, email design or experience in HTML/CSS coding for email templates.
