The Crouse Hinds, B-Line, Oil & Gas (CBO) division is part of Eaton’s global electrical sector and has over 100 years of experience in enhancing efficiency, safety and reliability for our customers. As Financial Controller you will be a strong support for the Finance Director in managing all financial activities across the CEAG BU. You will also be responsible for controlling our plants across CEAG with its 4 main plants ranging from run-rate to specialized ETO activities. You will work closely with the Finance Director, Plant Managers and Controllers to ensure full integration and alignment with EMEA & Global Operations to ensure fully transparent, timely and efficient execution and act as an effective link and partner between all of these and the CEAG Finance Director.

The role is responsible for the budgets, forecasts, actuals and ad hoc analysis of all financial activities operational activities in the Crouse Hinds CEAG business in Europe.

Your main responsibilities:

Supporting the Finance Director across all financial controlling activities and manage all aspects of the operational cost accounting and analysis as well as mitigating actions, including:

  • Function as deputy of Finance Director with full support of team and financial activities
  • Coordinate, preparate and evaluate annual operating, capital budgets and cost roll as well as monthly financial reports and estimates
  • Coordinate the preparation of financial data for presentations at review meetings
  • Compare actual performance against approved plans and forecasts and recommend courses of action or prepare contingency plans as required
  • Optimize profit and cash flows from Operations and other functions
  • Calculate and compile of complex cost forecasts and summary reports for e.g. information for business audits
  • Perform profit ratio calculations and optimization proposals for the plants, including capacity models and cost impacts
  • Optimize inventory in both value and Days on Hand
  • Analyze operating cost budget as well as detailed variances between budget and actual results with root cause identification and proposal of mitigation actions
  • Prepare guidelines for standardized cost accounting, cost evaluation and cost control procedures
  • Continually monitor the different controlling activities (cost and effectiveness studies) performed at the company's manufacturing plants
  • Train plant staff in processes and for continuous improvement purposes to ensure optimal utilization of available technical facilities for information assessment
  • Participate in different committees, task forces and project teams dealing with cost reduction and optimizing efficiency of manufacturing operations and related processes
  • Ensure Compliance with corporate policies, yearly SOD reviews, yearly Purchase order release strategy audits and 2nd level balance sheet reviews of other companies.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with a major in Controlling or Business Administration (MBA Preferred)
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in a matrix organization in a production environment and multiple plants
  • Excellent knowledge of transactional accounting, cost accounting, financial controlling and SIOP
  • Ability to analyze complex data and scenarios to make short-term/daily and strategic decisions and find simplified solutions
  • Reliability and accuracy of forecast
  • SAP knowledge required
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written) and German language skills C2 (submission of language certificate may be required)
  • Strong communication and presentation skills at all levels of the organization
  • Flexible, self-motivated and engaging personality with excellent interaction skills, supporting and motivating personality with a hands-on mentality
