As an Associate Program Manager, you’ll be responsible for the local portion of the search engine optimization (SEO) Program within REI’s Digital division to increase organic search traffic across our websites. Independently working with product managers, content producers, interaction designers and store managers, your influence, guidance and partnership will help shape the keyword strategy and local business information which impacts millions of our customers and REI Co-op members. - Drive organic traffic to REI’s digital properties and physical business locations
- Help execute the SEO Program strategic plan
- Identify new opportunities for organic traffic growth
- Represent the team to a variety of internal stakeholders
- Work closely with partner teams and their keyword strategy prior to page launches/updates
- Provide feedback, guidance and requirements for projects across our digital properties
- Partner with several outside agencies and vendors who provide support to the SEO Program
- Help teach and train the broader organization on SEO best practices
- Build dashboards, metrics and reports to accurately represent results
- Conduct tests and research to prove or disprove hypotheses related to technical SEO
- Proactively stay at the forefront of the SEO industry and its constant changes through personal development, networking and training
Bring your passion and expertise
Required Skills and Experience
- 3+ years of experience in e-commerce or related websites
- 3+ years of experience in executing an SEO strategy at enterprise scale
- Proven track record of successful organic search optimization implementation
- A demonstrated background in local keyword tracking and optimization
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Marketing or related field
- Strong proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Flexible in one's viewpoints and positions in order to support the direction taken by others at REI
- Uses business knowledge, innovative thinking and sound judgment in the solution of problems or the pursuit of business opportunities
- Consolidates information from various sources including feedback from others to reach sound decisions
- Considers the ultimate impact of decisions and actions on internal and external customers
- Works smart by setting effective work goals, establishing priorities and planning well in order to produce quality work
- Executes effectively by using resources efficiently, meeting deadlines and keeping others informed of work plans and progress toward goals
- Clearly conveys and accurately receives information by a variety of methods and in various situations
- Builds rapport with all kinds of people inside and outside the organization
- Acts upon opportunities and involves and influences others in the accomplishment of worthwhile organizational goals
- Challenges the status quo, champions change and influences others to change
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in STAT, Google Search Console, Slack and BrightEdge
- Experience with Adobe Analytics, Tableau or related platform

As required by the Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Act, REI provides a range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include a wide array of factors, including: your specific skills and experience, geographic location or other relevant factors. The salary range for this position may be lower or higher in different markets.
$55,000 to $110,000 per year
