Eaton’s ES-Americas, Canada Division is currently seeking an Operations Excellence Manager to join our team. This position will be based at our Perth, Ontario facility.

Position Overview:

This role will manage and lead the Operational Excellence activities in Perth including Eaton Business System processes, LEAN, Continuous Improvement, and Quality. The Quality Management System and CI programs must meet the needs of the business and ensure that related services are completed in a timely and efficient manner. You will be responsible to maintain and review operational performance data to identify trends or areas of concern and initiate appropriate actions to meet our overarching goal of continuous improvement.

In this role, you will:

  • Work with business units to implement Eaton Lean Six Sigma in conjunction with Eaton’s Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF)
  • Promote, initiate, and support the implementation or improved business and manufacturing processes
  • Research and offer solutions for opportunities identified either by this position or any employee on site
  • Facilitate improvement events with multi-functional groups and provide just-in-time training of ELSS tools and methodologies
  • Promote continuous improvement and lean culture within the business
  • Meet ongoing ELSS and CIF requirements
  • Serve as a role model in teh areas of leadership, teamwork, customer focus, continuous improvement, safet and environmental stewardship to ensure alignment with Eaton values.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

Basic (Required) Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary degree in a relevant technical discipline (Electrical/Electronics/Manufacturing Engineering)
  • Lean Six Sigma certification
  • Demonstrated experience leading and implementing ISO Quality standard and practices, Quality Control Techniques, statistical processes etc.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple functions
  • Intermediate / advanced computer skills
  • Superb interpersonal/team member skills, self-motivation & related attributes
  • Impeccable supervisory, communication, planning and organizational skills

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in a manufacturing/distribution center environment
  • Demonstrated ability to lead by influence rather than through positional power
