SALT Manager, Property Tax

Job Description

KPMG is currently seeking a Manager to join our State and Local Tax (SALT) practice.

Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent client service to multi-state companies with property tax compliance
• Evaluate information presented on property tax returns before, during, and after preparation
• Assist in property tax bill payment and return preparation using Property Tax Management Software (PTMS)
• Review assessment notices to identify any discrepancies

Qualifications:

• A minimum of five years of experience in personal property tax compliance preparing property tax returns, bill payments, and valuation notices using PTMS
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
• Licensed CPA; ENR AGT (Enrolled Agent); J.D., LL.M., MST (Master's in Taxation), CMI (Certified Member of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation) for non-CPA eligible candidates (Please note that any candidate hired by KPMG into this position that doesn't currently possess one of the aforementioned credentials/designations will be required to secure one within one year from the commencement of employment)
• Ability to develop business and foster client relationships
• Experience with various other taxes and their impact on property tax
• Strong knowledge of the development, planning, and execution related to property tax
