The Outreach Specialists are responsible for:
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with local community groups to identify presentation and volunteer opportunities that foster related stewardship and activism
  • Coordinating service projects that bring REI employees and the community together in support of the environment.
  • Providing assistance to the Company and community for the nomination and subsequent award of REI grant monies for local non-profit organizations.
  • Monitoring assigned outreach budget; seeking opportunities to leverage corporate resources to maximize the impact of outreach activities.
  • Maintaining ongoing relationships and serves as member on various committees to represent departmental and/or overall Company Interests; communicating company needs and expectations internally or externally; providing review, input, and recommendations as appropriate.
  • Coordinating with local/regional retail Outreach Specialists.
  • Maintaining Goodyear DC Campus outreach resources.

  • Actively participate and collaborate with others on one's own team and across REI for the achievement of business goals.
  • Facilitate and spotlight area volunteer opportunities.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including working approximately one weekend per month.
  • Ability to travel to off-site locations approximately 1-2 times per week.
