Role Overview:

In this role you are highly data driven, intellectually curious, creative, and able to move quickly while keeping focused on high impact projects with minimal supervision. You will support our overall team’s initiatives to develop and deploy initiatives and processes to optimize performance of the Sales Organization.
Splunk Global Sales Operations (SOPs) team is looking for an Analyst to support the entire operations team and sales leaders with data driven insights and easy to use Anaplan models. In this role you will be responsible for managing existing Anaplan models, developing new Anaplan solutions to support business needs, and improving user adoption for sales. You are a team player and a faster learner who possesses strong analytical skills, has a deep understanding of sales processes, is an excel wizard when it comes to modeling, and enjoys solving complex business problems.
To be successful in this role, you must be able to communicate effectively across multi-functional teams, explain complex concepts, bring business insights, and drive process improvements. Attention to detail paired with mindfulness of the big picture is also essential for the success in this role.
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and enhance the existing Anaplan models to support all stakeholders
  • Design and roll out enablement packages with the help from Splunk Enablement Team
  • Work cross functionally to develop features/models that support all aspects of sales planning
  • Conceive and execute new Anaplan solutions to support new business objectives and initiatives
  • Define and administer user roles and permissions for sales all users in Anaplan
  • Manage/document data integration between Splunk's internal systems and Anaplan
  • Project manage new projects and during sales planning to ensure on time delivery
  • Perform ad-hoc reporting and analysis as needed
  • Develop performance management models and conceptualize design of business intuitive visualizations
  • Conduct research and analysis (from open source).
Requirements:
  • 5 years of business analysis and modeling experience for a sales division (fast growing enterprise software company preferred)
  • 3 years of Anaplan experience or 4+ years of experience building models with widely used planning and analytics applications such as Excel, Hyperion, SAP BPC, Cognos TM1, etc.
  • Ability to translate 2D spreadsheet model into multi-dimensional technologies
  • Experience building models from scratch (around territory, quota and headcount planning preferred)
  • Ability to partner, collaborate, and influence across a wide spectrum of functions that are part of the sales planning process
  • Solid understanding of the following: financial and sales planning processes, quota management and sales analytics & data integration (inbound and outbound)
  • Must have software industry experience
  • Must possess eye for business, strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and project management skills
  • Must be organized and detail oriented
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to work in a fast paced, fast-paced environment and manage a high workload
  • Experience with Anaplan is required (Level 3 certified preferred)
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access
  • Comfortable with - Data thinking, candidate should have an analytical bent of mind, and ability to appreciate the various applications of analytics for solving business problems

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Accounting, Finance or Business Administration preferred, MBA a plus
