We are seeking a talented and driven Research Analyst to support and help grow our natural has liquids forecasting in North America. The role will be a part of a growing short-term analytics group and will support and work closely with various subject matter experts within the forecasting team. It is a great opportunity for an entrepreneurial and innovative person who is looking to help develop and grow an exciting product line.
About the Day to Day Responsibilities of the Role
Wood Mackenzie’s short-term NGL group thrives on providing, near-real-time insights and analytics on the North America markets. The forecasting team operates within the broader NGL short-term and long-term group, providing analytics, modeling, and forecasting expertise. You will support clients, prospects and internal customers and grow to be a subject matter expert in NGL research and supply forecasting.
You will maintain US and Canada level NGL forecasts at the gas processing and basin level and will produce customer-facing reports and publications. The role will work closely with the short-term NGL analyst team, focused on providing insights and content to the NGL industry. The position will blend quantitative data with real-time news flow to help create a more accurate oil forecasting model.
You will learn and utilize Wood Mackenzie’s proprietary data sets to understand market interactions and movements. On a daily and weekly basis, you will support the broader NGL team, focusing on product-level supply demand/balances, waterborne movements of ethane, propane and butane cargoes and tracking the level of US ethane rejection. Additionally, you will contribute to client-facing engagements, answering queries and presenting our NGL outlook.
The position and salary for the role will be dependent of the level of NGL industry expertise and analytical experience. Internal candidates will only be considered as a lateral move.
