Job Description

Drift is seeking a part time, remote Communications & Employment Brand Marketing Intern to help boost our employer brand and assist with internal and external communications efforts beginning April 2022 through July 2022.

The person selected for this position will be responsible for creating written long-form content (e.g. by-lines and blog posts), crafting social media posts for our culture related Instagram account and helping with internal communications efforts including our weekly newsletter and company-wide announcements. They will also help prepare newsletters, draft internal communications, and write social copy.

Other exciting things an intern on our employment brand and communications team would get to do: help monitor real-time analytics and make decisions based on that information; improve and test headlines; and collaborate with our marketing and people team to help tell inspiring employee stories and apply for appropriate workplace awards.

Ideal candidates are passionate about emerging technology, hypergrowth company culture and the future of sales and marketing. Previous internship experience in media or communication preferred, but not required. Please be prepared to send along writing samples.

Some of the daily tasks you might be responsible for include:

  • Drafting internal communications including:
    • Newsletters
    • Internal emails
  • Blogging
  • Creating a content calendar for our Inside Drift (@insidedrift) Instagram page
  • Increasing follows/friends who like our business
  • Writing and posting blog posts/social updates, etc.
  • Tracking the growth and the impact of these efforts on our business
  • Replying to comments, messages, etc.
  • Reporting findings to the team
  • Being a curious learner and asking pertinent questions

What you will do and learn:

  • Assist in production of long-form content
  • Create and manage a content calendar
  • Test content, and measure its effectiveness
  • Determine key communications KPIs
  • Discuss progress of work regularly with supervisor

About you

  • Highly organized, detail oriented, and able to communicate proactively without close supervision
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Fast learner with initiative and willingness to learn new things, test new techniques, and experiment
  • Background or interest in SaaS/technology
  • Self-motivated problem solver

Requirements:

  • 16-20 hours/week
  • Ability to work remote
  • Strong interpersonal skills
