The Product Lead for the Community Pillar of Cvent Attendee Hub will help bring products to market by using a combination of sound judgment, critical thinking, leadership, and a sense of urgency. This individual must foster a team environment of shared ownership in project execution and be able to drive decisions effectively within the technology and business teams. The Product Lead is a member of our Product Management team, which is responsible for the product vision and roadmap of Cvent’s suite of products.
What you will be doing:
· Identify & prioritize the problems in the market that our products will solve
· Interact and collaborate with stakeholders, including working closely with UX research/design, engineering, customer support and readiness management
· Anticipate bottlenecks, manage project item prioritization, make trade-offs and balance business needs versus technical constraints
· Assist in gathering and writing functional requirements, working closely with Product, Design, & Engineering
· Utilize available resources to monitor and summarize system usage data
· Lead competitive analysis efforts as it relates to product strategy
· Act as a subject matter expert for projects in your domain
· Collaborate with external and internal stakeholders to gather, analyze and document information needs and functional requirements
· Identify technical challenges/anomalies and coordinate appropriate resources for resolution
· Facilitate business and technical design sessions
· Work closely with internal business stakeholders and others to understand and prioritize goals and information needs related to the project
· Combine analytics with customer insights derived from other internal data sources for deeper analysis of product success and value
· Develop and run ad hoc reports and analysis to answer business questions when needed
What you will need in this role:
· 2-4 years working with SaaS products- experience with event management software offerings is a plus.
· Critical listening skills and the ability to step out of one’s own experiences to learn from people with different lived experiences.
· A willingness to set aside pre-conceived assumptions and include a variety of different perspectives to help create products that help people connect with one another
· Ability to partner with design and engineering to reach a shared understanding of project scope
· Experience working with communication tools like messaging apps and video conferencing tools
· Outstanding organizational, prioritization and multitasking skills
· Experience facilitating meetings with high level cross functional teams
· Excellent written and oral communication skills, with demonstrated ability to drive clarity and precision in product requirements
· Strong understanding of various software development processes, including requirements gathering, analysis and design, development tools and technologies, release and version control, contemporary testing methodologies, and deployment management
· Self-starter with ability to conceive of and accept responsibility for projects to see them through to completion, must be able to work as individual contributor and to contribute as part of a larger team
· Must be flexible and willing to undertake a wide variety of challenging tasks, while driving results
Nice to haves:
· Experience in hospitality or event management is preferable
· Experience working with mobile apps
· Experience building/work with analytics dashboards with BI tools
