Siemens Smart Infrastructure is hiring a Business Development Manager dedicated to growing the Energy Service business. The primary duties and responsibilities of this role includes but are not limited to the following:
  • Walk down, qualify, estimate and propose Energy Efficiency projects and services for the following: Existing customers (based on defined sales matrix) and New customers in the Eastern MA and RI territories
  • Maintaining sufficient funnel levels to deliver current budget obligations and support future growth
  • Provide expert advice and lead in the participation and development of BT branding in the existing building market
  • Lead in the development of relationships with the local utility providers with a focus on: Each utilities organization and structure (specifically on individuals with decision making authority), Budgets/targets, goals and programs specifics associated with energy efficiency programs, Mapping of incentive programs to Siemens deliverables
  • Deploy methodologies and tools to ensure consistent high quality delivery of Energy Services and other value added services
  • Provide subject matter expertise on tools, technologies and practices related to Energy Services

Products and Service Focus

1. Energy Services

o ECMs or FIMs centered around Building Automation System optimization (optimized start/stop, scheduled, HVAC/Lighting control integration, etc)

o Building Retro Commissioning, leveraging the local Utility Incentive

o Demand Flow for Air Systems

o Demand Flow for Chilled Water Systems

o Vigilent for Datacenters

o Lighting and Mechanical system specific programs designed to optimize building performance

2. Digital Services

o Cloud FIMs

o Fault Detection and Diagnostics

o Energy reporting using Navigator

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; a combination of education and experience will also be considered
  • 3+ years of sales experience in building automation or a related field
  • Software, IoT, and networking experience a plus
  • Experience in the life sciences, healthcare, education, data center, and commercial office vertical markets preferred
  • Financial expertise to estimate and sell technical solutions and service offerings effectively and independently
  • Account development and strategic sales skills
  • Experience selling to end users/owners
  • Demonstrable understanding of how-to market, position, and sell cloud-based, data-driven service programs such as fault detection and diagnostics to existing and new customers preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Excellent organizational, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
  • Proficiency with Salesforce CRM preferred
  • Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations
  • Qualified applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States
