Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a CHS Manager, Clinical Audior and Analyst . While this position may work mostly remote, candidates will occasionally need to commute to a local hub office in Renton, Portland or Irvine for meetings so should be local to those areas.

The Manager for Caregiver Health Services (CHS) Clinical Analytics and Auditing oversees a small team that support the management of data, development and analysis of reporting, and provision of metrics that demonstrate the functions of Caregiver Health Services. The Manager will serve as a clinical analytics core leader to data producers CHS Clinical Auditing and Analytics team), consumers (CHS leaders, regional operations leaders and committees such as Infection Prevention, Safety, Environment of Care), and Information Systems/HRIS in the interest of ensuring high quality reporting of clinical data/metrics essential for tracking compliance and quality.

This critical role provides vision and direction for the ways in which data will be collected, maintained, validated and visualized by the consumers identified above. The role manages all data department functions, including work priorization, communciations and staff development, and serves as the key contact for the different applications/tools to support the platform(s) across the enterprise.

This role is the key liaison for CHS in identifying the best tools to most efficiently perform existing and future CHS functions that minimize manual entry or duplication as well as in collaborating with vendors for solution improvements upgrades or changes. The successful candidate must perform all duties in a manner that promotes project team success, advances the goals and mission of the department, division, and system, and reflects the Providence St Joseph Health mission, philosophy, and core values.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Management: Provides vision and direction to teams, develops and maintains systems, manages department functions, incuding work prioritization, communications and staff development, and acts as key contact for assigned area.
  • Liaison: Is accountable for performing and managing resources in representing Caregiver Health Services programs to key stakeholders; deeply understands stakeholder needs, maintains robust stakeholder relationships; works creatively and collaboratively to ensure program success. Represents CHS in decision-making on IS tools, integrations, and all aspects of technology and database solution(s).
  • Data engineering: Is accountable for performing and managing resources for the growth and maintenance of platforms that include caregiver health records and compliance reporting, as well as technical support, data acquisition, and data architecture.
  • Intake/visioning: Is accountable for performing and managing resources to proactively build an end-stage product vision that meets stakeholder needs and is accomplished with current data availablility and analytic models. Strategically develops programs taking into account organizational needs and related projects around the enterprise. Develops a vision for innovative growth of technical capabilities as CHS functions and services evolve.
  • User interface/user experience: Is accountable for performing and managing resources to analyze user needs and designing modes of product delivery to meet those needs. Expert at socializing new tools and programs to ensure their success and adoption and are the "face of the program" to stakeholders/users before and after deployment.
  • Clinical data expertise: Is accountable for performing and managing resources in the sourcing of data from the EDW and the various databases across the enterprise. Expert at identifying or envisioning the data sources needed to underlie clinical analyses that meet customer requests and demonstrate the value and functions of all functions within CHS (CHS Core team, CHS Call Center, CHS Customer Service Representatives.
  • Data validation/accuracy: Is accountable for performing and managing resources to ensure data accuracy; develops quality checks to ensure data integrity; supervises quality assurance and ongoing updates of audits. Circles back when documentation issues are identified to ensure course correction to applicable CHS team members.
  • Reporting/Analysis: Is acccountable for developing and providing data and analyses to accurately demonstrate compliance stats and trending in Infection Prevention and other enterprise-wide reports.
  • Mentorship/training: Is accountable for training direct reports and team members on data capture and outputs, as well as auditing and following up to re-train if standard operating procedures for documentation are not being followed to ensure data integrity.
  • Project management/performance improvement: Is accountable for performing and managing resources to facilitate/coordinate large multidisciplinary projects successfully. Builds relationships and networks with caregivers inside and outside of CHS to identify solutions and improvements.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, a clinical discipline, Public Health, Business, Infomatics, or related field. Clinical discipline incudes Nursing, Infection Prevention, Respiratory, Pharmacy, Quality or Foreign Medical graduate. or equivalent education/experience.
  • Four years related experience.
  • Four (4) years or more p rogressive responsibility in management and providing support to senior and executive leadership.
  • Six (6) years or more Experience in healthcare, partnering with staff at all levels working with electronic medical health records, clinical data base, outcome and quality data
  • BLS certification required upon hire.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Masters degree in Healthcare, a clinical discipline, Public Health, Business, Infomatics, or related field. Clinical discipline incudes Nursing, Infection Prevention, Respiratory, Pharmacy, Quality or Foreign Medical graduate.
