This is a paid full-time internship with options of working hybrid/ onsite in our Austin or San Diego office, or 100% remote. Join us for an incredible experience! When you join us, you will work alongside your team on core application features alongside our Web, Android or iOS engineers and start writing code on day one. You'll receive guidance and mentorship and learn every day from fellow engineers who will make sure your ideas are shared, heard and implemented. Your work will become part of a premier application used by a rapidly-growing, global user base. As an engineering intern at Evernote you’ll design, build and scale the core infrastructure, clients and services that power Evernote. The team’s work ensures that the 200 million users who rely on Evernote have fast, reliable, secure access to their notes. What you'll do

• Your goal will be to optimize the user experience and architect scalable, reliable systems
• Work as part of a small, supercharged team
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects and Engineering leaders to architect and build components and systems to power new Evernote features
• Write clean and reusable code
• Work on state of the art cloud based platforms
• Get to work on internet-scale projects. We currently have 2 billion notes and 75k new registrations per day!

What you've done

• Currently pursuing an Associate, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or enrolled in a coding boot camp
• We work with a wide variety of technologies, so are open to engineers with various backgrounds (Some of the technologies we currently use are Java, Javascript, Node, React and React Native, Thrift, Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, Redis, and many more)
• Have academic and/or internship experience
• Demonstrated experience starting projects from scratch and jumping into an existing architecture

• You work well with teams and help those around you improve
• Willing and able to work 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday
