As an engineering intern at Evernote you’ll design, build and scale the core infrastructure, clients and services that power Evernote. The team’s work ensures that the 200 million users who rely on Evernote have fast, reliable, secure access to their notes. About the team - RAMP (Registration, Account Management and Registration)
We aspire not only to make people more successful by using technology to improve their thinking but also to build an incredible company while doing so. As an engineer on Evernote’s RAMP team, you’ll design, build, and scale the services delivering highly relevant and personalized experiences for users of our class-leading note taking application, and across all clients on Web, Desktop, and Mobile devices. This is a new team responsible for implementing full stack solutions that improve user registration and enhance user experience through smarter control of user specific info, preferences, and account settings. As an early member of the team you will have a disproportionate impact on the systems architecture, team culture and practices, and ultimately the long term impact of the group.
What you'll do
- Build large scale distributed systems
- Develop microservices with our new Kubernetes-based service deployment system
- Dive into existing services, deployed in containerized cloud infrastructure, and being able to troubleshoot issues and improve their reliability and performance.
- Raise the bar on Operational Excellence by building dashboards, monitors & alerts for your features
- Lead and drive end to end execution of the projects
- Collaborate with Product & Design to build customer-facing features
- Drive software engineering best practices
What you've done
- Currently pursuing an Associate, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or enrolled in a coding boot camp
- We work with a wide variety of technologies, so are open to engineers with various backgrounds (Some of the technologies we currently use are Java, Javascript, Node, React and React Native, Thrift, Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, Redis, and many more)
- Have academic and/or internship experience
- Demonstrated experience starting projects from scratch and jumping into an existing architecture
