As a Country Buyer you will focus on all categories within Indirect Material and Services, act as the primary business partner and conduit between the EMEA corporate indirect team and local business partner stakeholders.

Your key deliverables :

  • Drive the definition & implementation of business solutions from Corporate SCM programs, including value-delivery, plus ideas for leveraging One Eaton across all Eaton entities/businesses that are operating within Germany.
  • Scope will focus on all categories within Indirect Material and Services. Acting as the primary business partner and conduit between the EMEA corporate indirect team and local business partner stakeholders.
  • Where suitable regional solutions / supplier partners exist, focus will be in change management, implementation & compliance. Where regional solutions do not exist, focus will be determining suitable local solutions that align to meeting local site needs whilst delivering required productivity & service levels.
  • Directly responsible & accountable for the delivery of productivity achievement & reporting across all related categories of Indirect, albeit with compliance accountability shared with local organizations. Related categories will include indirect material & services for Factory, Professional services – all in accordance with defined EMEA strategies.
  • Lead the deployment of all performance improvement initiatives within indirect at country and local site level
  • Manage local Indirect service providers, selection of suppliers, their performance and drive productivity initiatives through the IDEAS program.
  • Develop structured approach and drives local business focus across Indirect-led activities in pursuit of overarching regional goals ensuring that a clear set of local aligned deliverables is established & implemented, with the necessary rigor/discipline to regularly track performance.
  • Incorporate synergies across EMEA into process, ensuring processes consider wider EMEA impact.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Functional Supply Chain Management knowledge & experience – 5-7 years of experience minimum
  • Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
  • Ability to develop and negotiate effective commercial contracts on behalf of Eaton.
  • Ability to develop & deploy a framework to standardize processes & ensure consistent deployment
  • Understanding of technical specifications, product / service performance requirements, processes (manufacturing & non-manufacturing), and end user expectations
  • Proven ability to interface confidently at Senior Management Level
  • Fluent German & English skills required - other languages advantageous
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
