BlackRock is looking for a Marketing and Content Manager to drive awareness and understanding of our BlackRock Investment Stewardship (BIS) activities with our professional investor audience globally, including with prospects and existing clients. The candidate will be able to distil complex information into digestible messages across a wide range of channels to communicate the progress we are making in encouraging sound business practices across the companies we invest in and communicate why this is a key selling point for the firm and a fundamental element of our purpose.

This is a unique opportunity to join a team that collaborates with many different functions across the firm, including BIS, Branding, Corporate Communications and External Affairs.

A successful candidate will have a creative outlook with strong organisational skills and well as the ability to think strategically about the value our Investment Stewardship capability adds to investors and to society.

Responsibilities

This is a newly created role which will require a combination of skillsets. The successful candidate will have strong communication and copywriting skills, be adept at digital visual story-telling and understand how to leverage social media and web channels. The role will report to the Head of Content EMEA. Responsibilities will fall across 3 broad areas: Content creation around BIS activities, promotion of those activities through paid media and social media, and distribution of content through client marketing channels.

Content creation

  • Update website content and clarify user journeys and optimize for search based on agreed narrative pillars
  • Creation of digestible content nuggets for better website engagement and use on social media platforms
  • Review BIS reports for readability, engagement, and findability
  • Creation of editorial content for senior spokespeople in collaboration with BIS and corporate communications

Content promotion

  • Management of awareness campaigns aimed at professional investor audiences
  • Management of LinkedIn campaigns to promote a thought leading positions for senior spokespeople

Client Marketing

  • Close collaboration with marketing teams to ensure relationship managers and sales teams are aware of BIS positions and understand the commercial value of Investment Stewardship
  • Targeted communications into BIS relevant client segment

Essential skills / experience

  • 5-7 years of experience in corporate communications, advertising, branding, and/or digital marketing
  • Digital native with knowledge of social media and emerging content platforms
  • Self-starter with strong editorial judgment in creating channel appropriate content (video, articles, infographics etc)
  • Agency experience or experience managing agencies in-house a plus
  • Financial services/ investor relations experience
  • Proven track record in creating engaging digital content
  • Management of a corporate LinkedIn profile preferred
  • Ability to lead and drive cross divisional teams
  • Fluency in English, and completely flawless written and verbal communication skills
