The Director of Marketing for SPT’s FAST channels is responsible for all marketing strategy, branding, B2B and B2P communications and promotional activities for SPT’s foreign language (US) and International (Latin America) FAST channels. Key pillars of oversight include: (1) Leading platform partnership relationships; (2) developing marketing strategy for owned, earned and paid media channels; and (3) Marketing lead on all creative strategy and brand development, in partnership with the SPT Creative Center Latin America team.

Platform Partner Management

  • Lead partnership relationships with marketing, communications and business executive team(s), at platform OEMs and APP based services - i.e. Samsung TV Plus, Pluto TV, Roku, Vizio SmartCast, PLEX, Sling, Xumo.
  • Negotiate on-platform exposure for SPT FAST channels to increase discoverability, working closely with partners on optimizing impressions and CTR.
  • Direct and manage new platform and new channel on-boarding materials for partners, including customized branding, logo design, promotional assets, channel descriptions, and content-related assets (on-air, off-air).
  • Conduct bi-weekly/monthly/quarterly update calls with platform partners.
  • Develop monthly promotional marketing on-platform activities and provide partners with promotional assets, including customized ad banner units, special channel tiles and customized videos.
  • Develop special programming stunt marketing support for tentpole partner events, i.e. Hispanic Heritage Month, Chrstimas/Holiday season, Valentine’s Day, etc.

Owned, Earned & Paid Media Strategy

  • Develop and execute owned media strategies for official social handle(s) and page(s).
  • Engage with and build social community via multiple weekly posts around current events, talent interaction, programming initiatives, platform launches, and more.
  • Ideate creative briefs for on-going social media posts, and work closely with platform partners’ social teams to ensure they have assets to support official handles.
  • Manage all marketing planning and materials for official channel website(s), including videos, still imagery, keyart, “where-to-watch,” descriptions and how-to wiki’s.
  • Manage paid media strategy, budget, and reporting for media buys across social media and partner platforms
  • Responsible for Monthly Programming press announcements distributed to USH media and entertainment/digital media
  • Work closely with SPE Corp Comms on all trade communicaitons

Marketing Lead for Creative/On-Air/Off-Air/Branding

In partnership with Creative Center, Head of Marketing leads strategy and management for the following activities:

  • Brand/Logo Development - styleguides, toolkits for on-air and off-air
  • Off-Air Assets (Programming/Content) - key art, unit photography (for websites, social, EPGs)
  • On-Air Assets – Develop creative briefs for on-air promos, brand reels, countdown clocks, channel IDs
  • Partner/Channel On-Boarding - Manage partner platform/channel onboarding from request to delivery in partner specs – EPG logos, channel tiles, show images
  • Monthly/Sepcial Event Partner Promotions – creative briefs for ad unit promotional assets for parnters to market SPT’s FAST channels on their platform(s), i.e. holiday designs, special marathon tune-ins, etc.
  • Social Media Assets – provide strategy and content calendar to Creative Team for on-going social media assets

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years marketing and creative experience in a leadership role at a studio, network or streaming service
  • Experience owning affiliate/partner relationships, ideally with CTV, OTT, FAST services
  • Strong understanding of the OTT/CTV/FAST ecosystem
  • Understanding of U.S. and international/Latin America content rights, distribution, networks
  • Strong communication skills-fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese is encouraged-, working closely with internal and external executives, decision makers
  • Must be detail oriented; ability to pivot in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment; problem solver
