What is the key purpose of a Team Lead, Account Management?

As a Team Lead on Growth Account Management based in our new Atlanta office located in Midtown, you will lead a team of Account Managers and work with Taboola’s Small and Medium sized clients to drive advertiser success by educating, consulting, onboarding and providing strategic advice. This role is an outstanding opportunity for a customer-focused, data-driven, and results-oriented individual interested in establishing themselves as a leader in the digital advertising space and driving impact at scale through cross-functional collaboration with Taboola’s world class teams.

What will I be doing on a day to day basis?

At a fast-moving technology company, no two days will ever be the same. As a Team Lead, Account Management - Growth you will:

  • Hire, onboard and continuously coach a team of Account Managers to develop their skills and achieve their revenue goals
  • Meet and exceed the team’s quarterly revenue targets, by helping each team member successfully onboard new clients and upsell existing clients
  • Deliver outstanding account management for a portfolio of strategic accounts
  • Proactively use data, trends, market insights, and logic to develop tailored campaign recommendations and upsell opportunities to drive client success
  • Work as a liaison between client and internal partners to troubleshoot delivery and performance issues
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the Product, Marketing and Support organizations to drive revenue and increase customer satisfaction
  • Display deep understanding of Taboola’s entire product offering and best practices for campaign effectiveness and upselling
  • Work directly under the supervision of Account Director in leading team meetings, overseeing initiatives, and developing best practices

What skills and qualifications do I need?

For this role, it’s essential that you have:

  • 3-5 years of professional experience in a client-facing capacity, ideally in digital media with a focus on advertisers and agencies
  • 1+ year experience managing a team of account managers or sellers
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Process oriented with a strict attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to work and collaborate within a high-performing team
  • Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and comfortable dealing with ambiguity
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage tasks within a fast-paced environment
  • Solid understanding of online and offline marketing channels with clear understanding of industry challenges and opportunities
