Job Description
A World-Changing Company At Palantir, we’re passionate about building software that solves problems. We partner with the most important institutions in the world to transform how they use data and technology. Our software has been used to stop terrorist attacks, discover new medicines, gain an edge in global financial markets, and more. If these types of projects excite you, we'd love for you to join us.
The Role Palantir Technologies' Proposal and Capture Strategy Team, known internally as the Wordsmiths, seeks a versatile writer and project manager to win new public and private sector opportunities in Spain. Wordsmiths work closely with Palantir's engineering, business development, and legal teams to articulate Palantir's value proposition on a wide range of topics. We craft compelling prose to explain how our technology addresses critical issues faced by government agencies. Our outputs include strategic and technical analyses of complex IT procurements, as well as detailed responses to requests for proposals (RFPs) / requests for tenders (RFTs). Wordsmiths also lead a range of business development, capture management, and proposal management efforts. This role will also support content generation functions. You will work closely with our Sales, Marketing, and other teams to reach our target customers and prospects and drive demand through events, traditional lead generation campaigns, and other integrated marketing programs. This role is a unique opportunity to develop and demonstrate broad expertise in bid tradecraft, technical writing, and enterprise business development strategy and communications. If you believe in the transformational power of data and technology and in your own ability to bring that power to bear against complex problems, we want to meet you.
Core Responsibilities
- Collaborate with counterparts in engineering, legal, sales, and leadership teams to shape strategy and shepherd engagements from initial meeting to contract signing, including all written communications and proposals.
- Identify, research, and qualify opportunities in collaboration with the broader business development, engineering, and executive teams.
- Serve as primary author and project manager on market research and RFP / RFT responses.
- Develop deep familiarity with Palantir's software platforms and how they can be used to solve a wide range of real-world problems.
- Create content starting with discovery of information from SMEs, create story/narrative to match value-selling approach, select the best format and drive the project through design, approvals, and publication.
- Coordinate integrated marketing campaigns in partnership with internal teams (investor relations, media, customer experience, etc.) and external resources (agencies, vendors, etc.).
- Occasional international travel, including on short notice.
What We Value
- Ability to articulate technical concepts and differentiators through compelling written and verbal communication.
- Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to work effectively while navigating an evolving, fast-paced work environment.
- Effective commercial acumen, including assessing competitive position and advising business development teams on how to best proceed.
- In-depth knowledge of government procurement, with the ability to plan and deliver capture strategies in line with various common purchasing routes.
- Native or near-native proficiency in Spanish; fluency in English.
- Palantir is committed to promoting a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion. We value candidates from a wide range of backgrounds who can contribute/leverage their unique perspectives and lived experiences to help us achieve our best outcomes.
