Job Description

  • To strategically execute marketing programs that are locally relevant and aligned with the Canadian consumer and brand equity, driving a true consumer centric approach.
  • Works with Affiliate Brand Manager and Brand North America Marketing Lead to develop, manage and execute brand marketing programs in Canada across all categories.
  • Partners closely with Brand North America Marketing to localize global programs for the Canada market.
  • Responsible for establishing media mix in line with Brand North America Marketing.
  • Works with brand field sales teams to develop retailer-specific and field-driven programs to support business opportunities and initiatives that drive basic business.
  • Develop marketing programs (launch support file) that support overall brand strategies and bring brand to life in store plan, manage and execute programs, ensuring initiatives are completed on time, cost effective and on budget (e.g., displays, posters, samples, mailers, on counter units).
  • Product Marketing: develop effective marketing strategies and plans to communicate the features and benefits of products to customers. Defines category distortion based on market granular opportunities. Promotes pricing analysis.
  • Develop strategic framework for in-store visual merchandising and product distortions for all stores. Lead execution on monthly, seasonal and annual basis.
  • Lead the planning and execution of marketing programs for product launches each season.
  • Trade Marketing: partner with field sales leadership to develop retailer-specific marketing programs and events; manage communication about key program updates and date changes
  • Drive analytical support: 1) analyze effectiveness of programs post implementation and develop recommendations accordingly; 2) analyze competitive marketplace to understand new product launch opportunities and appropriate marketing strategies for the brand. 3) Run and share consumer and market insights to define the strategy.
  • Liaise with Brand North America Marketing and support groups (e.g., merchandising, supply chain, finance, visual merchandising, creative) to develop and execute strong programs that support strategies and help achieve sales growth targets. Manage multiple operations timelines (supply chain, creative, visual purchasing).
  • Assist in development of retailer-specific CRM programs.
  • Create, submit, and track job requests to Creative for Canada programs.
  • Provide input and help create presentations for retailer, internal and regional sales meetings.
  • Co-manage budget with director; ensure that marketing initiatives are managed with mindfulness to sales, profitability, cost and budget goals.
  • Coordinate and manage relationships with mid-size department store accounts and sales teams.
  • Work with Director on executing in-store events with magazine and digital partners. Analyze results with focus on ROI and sales impact.

Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree preferred or equivalent years experience
  • Min 8 years related experience
  • Highly detail oriented and proactive.
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively, and conceptualize and implement new ideas
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Flexibility required to manage a constantly developing initiative
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills, and comfort with regular visibility to senior management
  • Strong MS Excel skills and solid knowledge of PowerPoint
  • Strong problem solving capabilities, good judgment, and ability to work independently

  • People management and development skills
  • Consumer oriented; excellent understanding of consumer engagement, full funnel digital campaigns and consumer insights
