Job Description
This position will play an important role in providing data intelligence to the business and our final bid proposal to the customer. The Tender Pricing and Data Analyst is supporting consultative selling activities, including opportunity research, coaching, proposal and presentation creation, RFQ (Request for Quotation) pricing and project management, and provide responses to RFI’s (Request for Information) / RFP ́s (Request for Proposal).
This role supports our European continental transportation business and will focus on the following:
- Collecting, analyzing, and interpreting various types of logistics data including cost and market developments and other data related to tender management.
- Maintaining database(s) of tender and bid information.
- Building a deep understanding of how pricing decisions impact our customers’ behavior, awarding patterns and customer lifetime value. You perform analytical tasks to transform data into actionable insights and recommendations that drive strategic decisions.
- Creating easy-to-understand recommendations based on strong analytical insights to get stakeholder buy-in.
Responsibilities
- Manage large RFQ projects, coordinating efforts across multiple parties, ensuring that timelines are met, and consolidating pricing for submission to clients
- Analyze margin and customer trends, to develop a strategic plan for increasing the profitability and/or volume of these opportunities.
- Evaluate and maintain tender (price) feedback in a well-organized and controlled way.
- Find and develop enhancements in creating data driven pricing strategies
- Analyze and support pricing strategies for specific countries, verticals and customers
- Cultivates relationships with key stakeholders throughout the organization.
- Support competence training and increase knowledge and value propositions across the sales organization
- Support weekly/monthly tender performance meetings ensuring delivery of KPI’s and evaluating outcomes
- Identify customer needs, opportunities, and market trends with assistance from commercial colleagues. Initiate appropriate actions to materialize these opportunities
- Be accountable for content, quality, and review of client documents
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years sales, account management or business analyst experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration / Economics / Logistics / Engineering, or equivalent in work experience
- Knowledge of the logistics industry, solution design, engineering, and supply chain is preferred
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills, other European languages are beneficial
- Proven ability to create comprehensive proposals
- Ability to think creatively and strategically
- Detail oriented and inquisitive
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Knowledge of Microsoft Access, SharePoint, PowerBi
