Job Description
The Post Production Coordinator will work very closely with the Production Coordinating Manager to manage the scheduling and work flow of the post production team. The role will involve close work with the Head of resource and Production coordinating team, to allow efficient management of staff and facilities in accordance with production and delivery specifications. This role will ensure that all projects are completed on schedule, within budget and meeting all associated requirements. Through this process, it is their responsibility to maintain clarity of information and good channels of communication between Production Management and the Post-production team. The right candidate must possess exceptional interpersonal and organisational skills to handle numerous requests from clients and internal staff and is responsible for maintaining close relationships with internal teams across numerous departments.
As our new Post Production Coordinator, you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Scheduling staff and facilities across all post production projects, including booking freelancers and editing equipment.
- To work closely with the Production Coordinating Manager to manage and support all Post schedules, workflows and disciplines in a varied environment, including short-form, long-form and OTT within a fast-paced and sometimes 'live' environment.
- Ability to take and understand a client brief, led by a solid understanding of the full spectrum of post-production workflows and schedules
- Maintaining both the Post production team, and looking for efficiencies when scheduling both staff and equipment.
- Liaising with the Head of Resource and Production Coordinating team to ensure that all production requirements are met.
- Updating documentation and distributing to relevant Post production staff to be briefed ahead of shift.
- Together with the Head of Resource and Production Coordinating manager on the feasibility and requirements for new projects.
- Helping in the sign-off of invoices and payroll for editors and loggers.
- Working with the Live Production team to ensure all Post aspects of the event are delivered on time and in the correct format.
- Support for Media manager on editing data management
- Support for Post Production Technical Assistant on camara and other editing equipment management, Quality control and delivery.
You’ll be set up for success if you have:
- Understanding of the post production environment and processes.
- Ability to work under pressure, whilst offering guidance and advice to both colleagues and clients in order to help them meet delivery
- Commercial awareness, from initial planning and budgeting through to managing day-to-day requirements and final delivery, on budget
- Ability to foster relationships with clients and colleagues of all levels, identifying the right level of support at all stages
- Good knowledge of the sporting calendar in order to schedule and prioritise according to events and related contracts.
- Ability to manage multiple requirements and projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Good knowledge of the editing process and ability to cut short clips.
- Organised and structured work approach in order to determine priorities and set efficient schedules.
- Ability to work to strict deadlines.
- Organized and diligent.
- Attitude to learn enthusiastically for new video technology
