Business Unit Overview:
BlackRock Real Assets, part of the BlackRock’s Alternatives platform, manages over $57 billion in private and public real estate and infrastructure equity and debt in the US, Europe and Asia-Pacific. BlackRock’s Real Assets team manages debt and equity real estate and infrastructure investments on behalf of public and private pension plans, insurance companies, foundations, endowments and private investors. The platform manages a broad array of investment strategies, including core, value-add and opportunistic, through separate accounts and commingled funds. Our extensive experience encompasses all major property types including office, industrial, retail and residential as well as energy, renewables, and general infrastructure projects.
Job Purpose/Background:
We are seeking an associate level asset manager to support the growth of the Real Estate platform, based in Frankfurt. The role will consist in managing assets across Core and Value-add Funds in Germany and the Netherlands, maintaining the performance of the assets, defining and implementing strategies, supporting the underwriting of new acquisitions in close cooperation with the team of the local Head of Acquisitions, steering external operating partners and completing the dispositions when required. The asset manager will work within a team of asset managers across Germany. The role will include attending client meetings and representing our asset and development capabilities on the ground. Close cooperation with the Portfolio management team and other internal stakeholders like legal, tax, accounting, and risk & quantitative analysis group.
Key Responsibilities
On top of their day to day job, the associate will need to build an in house market view e.g. ERVs, investment yield, regeneration areas, product of the future, investment thesis.
