Job Description

As a Procurement Manager, you can really make a difference: we need you to help us setting up a professional central procurement function covering the European territory.

In this role, you will face many challenges. It is up to you to maintain a continuous focus on cost levels.

Based on analysis, you will develop and deliver clear, compelling procurement plans and sourcing strategies that support our wider business strategy, optimize value for money outcomes, and meet our stakeholders’ needs and expectations. In addition, you will provide leadership and direction in procurement across the European network.

You will manage the tender processes cross divisional in coordination with the European network.

What will you be doing?

• Negotiating with both formal tenders and ad-hoc parties to ensure that the business obtains best value on all its expenses
• Providing expert advice to key stakeholders on all aspects of procurement to encourage innovative practices and support the delivery of business
• Working together with stakeholders to set targets are met by taking responsibility for the performance of suppliers
• Ensuring that suppliers have sufficient capacity to support the business requirements and that robust contingency is in place
• Develop and share market intelligence, technologies evolution, innovation opportunities
• Optimize supplier’s portfolio according to strategy
• Negotiate contracts and supply agreements and ensure implementation
• Measure supplier’s performance through VEGA
• Develop network with local buyers

What are we looking for?

• A business bachelor’s or master’s degree, for example in business economics
• 5 years’ experience in a procurement role
• Ideally a NEVI certificate and working experience in the logistics industry
• Excellent planning, time management and organizational skills
• The willingness to travel within your job (approximately 30% of your time)
• Strategic purchasing (negotiation) skills
• Presentation / Communication skill
• Self-motivated, proactive, accountable, and solutions oriented
• Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks/projects
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation/communication skills
• Analytical
