Goal of this function:

The sales and business development manager is a member of the Australian Yunex Traffic Management team and is driving the customer relation and sales activities in Australia and New Zealand.

He/She collaborates in close partnership with all stakeholders ensuring a successful business. Stakeholders are e.g. Yunex Traffic Management team and departments, Yunex Traffic-Hub team in Singapore, Yunex Traffic HQ (Germany, UK, US), dealers, subcontractors, associations, partners, general contractors, etc.

Supporting the business in its strategic and operational needs

Main goal is to identify business opportunities in ANZ and drive the tendering process to ensure successful bids, a high hit rate and profitable growth.

What are the responsibilities?

  • Develop a growth strategy and implementation plan for the ANZ region together with Yunex Traffic teams
  • Identify new business opportunities in close collaboration with industry and company stakeholders to achieve the ambition level for market growth and profitability
  • Provide market knowledge and up-to-date overview of customers, competitors, competing products and services
  • Develop and consolidate go to market and pricing strategies
  • According to the agreed market entry strategy develop green-field markets with no Yunex Traffic setup or no existing customer relations, such as direct business or indirect business via dealer setup and partnering for the entire portfolio
  • According to the agreed market entry strategy develop brown-field markets with Yunex Traffic setup or existing customer relations to the next level of business volume and business professionalism
  • Prepare tenders / proposals, negotiate and conclude contracts and drive the internal approval process for tender submissions
  • Establish and lead a technical sales, tendering and business development team
  • Promote the entire Yunex Traffic product, solution and service portfolio in the ANZ market
  • Stay in close contact and exchange with HQ PLM and sales group
  • Define business targets with the management and ensure financial performance (Order Intake, Sales, SG&A, EBIT)
  • Drive and coordinate sales and marketing activities in ANZ
    • Exhibition and fairs
    • Conferences
    • ITS associations
    • Social media
    • Marketing campaigns
  • Creating and maintaining a database of current and potential clients and their projects, i.e. actively managing and using company’s CRM tools
  • Keep up to date with Yunex Traffic's portfolio of products and services, in order to be and remain able to explain and demonstrate to clients the key features of our products and services
  • Open communication and exchange among colleagues in the Australian management team
  • Adhere to Yunex sales guidelines in terms of pricing, contract and payment terms, compliance and business conduct guideline

Requirements

Familiar with the ITS Industry fields such as Urban, Highways, Tunnels, Tolling and Customer Services for min. 5 years

Active in a similar sales related role for at least 3 years

Education / University degree in a related commercial and/or technical field

Experience with MNC organisations welcome

Location in Sydney/NSW preferred
