Purpose of Job

USAA is seeking an Executive Assistant who will perform administrative support for members of the Executive Management Group (EMG). You will ensure day-to-day activities are coordinated and EMG members are prepared for responsibilities.
This role will support the VP Bank Risk Strategy and Transformation and sit in San Antonio (TX) office or Charlotte (NC) office as a hybrid role where employees can flex between working on site and working from home.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Identifies and handles existing and emerging risks that stem from business activities and the job role.
  • Ensures risks associated with business activities are efficiently identified, measured, supervised, and controlled.
  • Follows written risk and compliance policies and procedures for business activities.
  • Coordinates activities and ensures timely information flow for EMG members supported.
  • Prioritizes and coordinates work for EMG members to meet deadlines on multiple tasks.
  • Prepares and updates presentations, reports, and spreadsheets for EMG members and assigned area.
  • Review’s data content and presentation method for accuracy and compliance with standards.
  • Runs EMG members’ schedule and provides administrative support to assigned EMG which may include handling emails, maintaining calendar(s) and ensuring appropriate record retention
  • Routes department calls and e-mail to appropriate staff members.
  • Composes e-mails, letters, and memorandums.
  • Maintains filing system for key documents. Prepares correspondence and reports for EMG supported.
  • Ensures data to and from EMG members are treated with appropriate level of confidentiality.
  • Maintains travel and expense reporting.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma.
  • 4 years directly related work experience in providing administrative support to executive leadership.
  • Advanced knowledge of spreadsheets, data retrieval, and word processing and presentation software.
  • Demonstrated experience with calendar management and/or prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to effectively build strong relationships and work with all levels within the organization.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail needed.

Preferred Experience:

  • 4-6 years of recent administrative work experience in support of senior level executives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills as demonstrated by the ability to effectively partner with all levels of management, employees, and external clients.
  • Proven experience in high volume calendar and messaging management using Microsoft Outlook to include Zoom, Meeting Planner and managing appointments, forwarding, and responding on behalf of others and taking a proactive approach regarding emails as needed.
  • Experience supporting executives in banking/financial services institutions.

Compensation:

USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market position. The salary range for this position is: $60,300-$108,600*.

Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance or at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.

*Geographical Differential: Geographic pay differential is additional pay provided to eligible employees working in locations where market pay levels are above the national average.

Shift premium will be addressed on an individual basis for applicable roles that are consistently scheduled for non-core hours.
