The Role

Roku is seeking a talented Content Marketing Manager to help oversee the launch of hit TV shows and movies on The Roku Channel. This role will execute multi-channel marketing campaigns that drive awareness and viewership of the service’s ever-expanding content offering, with a focus on the monthly What’s New campaign. As the go-to expert on all top TV and film titles across The Roku Channel, you will partner closely with internal stakeholders such as Research, Ad Sales and Content Acquisition to map out content priorities; work cross-functionally with the marketing creative team and channel owners to develop tactics that drive growth and viewer engagement; and partner with Analytics to understand top-performing titles and leverage data insights to fine-tune campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Own the execution of monthly What’s New Campaign from start to finish, including title selection, creative development, asset trafficking, and performance reporting.
  • Be an expert on The Roku Channel’s library of TV and film. Have your finger on the pulse of upcoming title launches, understand what type of content performs well on service, and continually evaluate the content competitive landscape.
  • Establish a scalable process for sharing top content priorities to stakeholders such as Ad Sales, Content Acquisition, and PR.
  • Partner with cross functional marketing teams including channel owners (email, display, push, video, social), editorial, PR, media, research, and creative teams to execute engaging campaigns for our users.
  • Analyze performance during and post campaign to make optimizations. Actively share out campaign level insights across content marketing and programming.
  • Support Sr. Content Marketing Manager in the development and execution of priority content campaigns including tentpole TV and film launches, as well as thematic and/or seasonal multi-title campaigns.
  • Work with content partners on securing marketing assets and approvals.

Experience / Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in a marketing role within the entertainment or technology industries. Experience working in marketing for a streaming service (video/music/gaming) is a plus.
  • Proven ability to project-manage marketing campaigns from strategy through execution.
  • Experience with media performance tracking, analysis, and reporting. Must be comfortable making data-driven marketing decisions to improve and optimize campaigns.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects; proactive, organized, and great at problem solving.
  • A team player with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Can operate and thrive under tight timelines with an ability to pivot with ease.
  • Curious creative mind, and strong eye for visual design.
  • Expert in media and entertainment landscape.
  • An innate ability to keep up with and understand what is relevant, on-trend, and outdated.
  • Obsession with detail.
