Job Responsibilities Enhancing communication all around the globe for a wide range of government and commercial customers, our organization is both complex and flexible in how we meet the world’s growing connectivity needs. As a Customer Operations Specialist, you will be a liaison on behalf of various programs cultivating relationships between Viasat’s internal and external customers and the After Market Service support team. You will be empowered to leverage your initiative and interpersonal skills to provide end-to-end support to your customers. Your flexibility and curiosity will help when you are researching issues, problem solving and identifying improvements to operational processes. Your day to day responsibilities will include:
  • Preparing and providing quotes to customer for repairs & upgrades
  • Reviewing customer orders for terms, conditions, and operational requirements
  • Facilitating Return Material Authorization (RMA) processing
  • Validating and entering data
  • Collaborating with various cross-functional teams
  • Maintaining order status reports for your internal teams and your customers
  • Preparing shipping documents
  • Performing inventory transactions
  • Coordinating with third-party service centers
Requirements
  • 3 - 5 years experience working with customers to provide solutions
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects
  • High value of teamwork and collaboration
  • Experience reading, interpreting, and understanding contracts and purchase order information
  • Familiarity with government contracts
  • Experience in ERP systems and/or data base management systems
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • US government position. US citizenship required
  • Ability to travel 10%
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Preferences
  • Ability to follow process while exercising judgement and intuition to provide customer recommendations and process improvements
  • Familiarity with engineering and manufacturing processes
  • Experience with Microsoft Access, Visio, SharePoint, Salesforce, Oracle
  • Experience working with third party repair centers is desirable
