The plant manager will have responsibility to effectively organize, lead, and manage all functional elements of the plant. The plant manager will drive improvement in both financial performance and High Five operational metrics (safety, quality, delivery, inventory, productivity) by deploying the Eaton Business System (EBS). The plant manager will utilize EBS tools (such as MESH, EQMS, ELSS, and others) to reach plant goals in alignment with divisional strategies. The plant manager will support the growth and development of the workforce to create a high-performance work culture with emphasis on inclusion and diversity. The plant manager has responsibility for all short-term tactical actions and long-term strategic initiatives to create a world class performing manufacturing site.
JOB RESPONSABILITIES:
• Proactively work to maintain safe and healthy working conditions, to adhere to proper operating practices and procedures designed to prevent injury and illness and to observe all governmental, regional and company safety and health regulations.
• Communicates information to employees on the situation of the company, and leads the communications efforts of the facility.
• Communicate and provide leadership to ensure achievement of plant objectives: Tactical operational plans e.g. Profit Plan Goals, Strategic Plans in alignment with divisional and group operational strategies.
• Build Organizational Capability through empowering functional areas while providing overall direction and accountability in accordance with the Eaton Values and Philosophies.
• Maintain and improve employee relationships with all plant employees by supporting the Eaton Philosophy of Excellence through People. Ensure appropriate, effective, and timely functional communication in alignment with the Eaton Values and Philosophy both internal and external to the plant.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the Continuous Improvement area to ensure customer expectations are met while driving the integration of the Culture of Quality through deployment of the Eaton Business System.
• Provide direction and overall leadership and support for Cost Out initiatives at both the plant and divisional levels.
• Create an atmosphere and provide leadership that allows each manager to utilize his/her full potential to accomplish plant and divisional objectives.
• In conjunction with the Business Unit Manager develops annual strategic plan and objectives and deploy and review with plant staff managers and employees periodically.
• Assures prompt and accurate reporting systems on all aspects of plant operations including inventory, labor, and production, shipping and receiving to monitor performance against plant objectives.
• Maintains an environment in keeping with all applicable regulations and legal requirements.
• Active participation in continues improvements programs and committees.
• Comply the Eaton Business System (EBS), in all components Foundation, Planning, Growth, Functional Excellence, Assessment and Learning as well as ISO 9001 / ISO 14001.
• Lead the plant to achieve excellence levels at OpA Assessments.
• Support Employee Survey results in partnership with her/his peers
• Drives the compliance to the ethics policy and holds others accountable for ethical conduct.
• Develops controls and critically reviews results of operation in reference to planned objectives.
• Accountable for the day-to-day decisions that directly impact the quality, efficiency, and profitability of the overall plant.
• Directs and mentors the Operations leadership team in the performance of their respective roles and consistent with the Eaton Leadership model.
• Fosters an environment which promotes Eaton’s goals, encourages continuous improvement, and builds customer relationships.
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:
• Experience in Lean Manufacturing Techniques; as well as, Including Just-In-Time / One-Piece Flow / Mixed-Model / Kanban / Minimum Inventory manufacturing.
• Safety/Environmental compliance experience.
• Experience in methods and good industrial engineering practices; especially, front-line leadership experience.
• Experience in labor/management negotiation and grievance procedures.
• Must have good verbal and written communication skills in English-Spanish (bilingual) required.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Project Management) including SAP required.
• The successful candidate must possess a good understanding of administrative knowledge of accounting, budgeting, forecasting, capital expenditure analysis, and wage and salary administration.
• Knowledge of governmental/utility requirements for the facility is required.
• Desired Master degree in Business Administration from an accredited institution required.

• Manufacturing Value Stream Success Factors and Continuous Improvement: The inherent ability to recognize and act upon challenges and situations that contribute to success in manufacturing operations.
• Program Management: Program management is the application of knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to project activities in order to meet or exceed stakeholder expectations.
• Zero-Incident Workplace Culture: The ability to integrate technical skill sets required to identify and eliminate hazards associated with a manufacturing process and its supporting elements.
