Spotify is looking for a Marketing Analyst to join the Global Performance Marketing team to support Spotify’s Marketing organization in their pursuit of building a globally loved brand and bringing the next generation of fans to Spotify. This role will provide analytical support for our Global Performance Marketing team, driving reporting of our acquisition efforts and growing visibility with the rest of the organization on the contribution and value of those efforts on bottom-line business growth. Success will require gaining a comprehensive understanding of Spotify’s Performance Marketing strategy, providing clear and concise insights and trends, and developing a trusted partnership with stakeholders. The role reports into the Global Head of Performance Marketing and involves significant cross-functional collaboration. You’ll have access to an exceptionally large and continually growing data set, as well as connectivity to a network of hundreds of analysts, data scientists, and data engineers to not only deliver on work required, but hone and grow your analytical skills.

What you'll do

    • Provide weekly reporting that illustrates how investments are performing against forecast at the channel, regional, and global levels
    • Analyze large sets of data via BigQuery, distilling them into actionable insights and trends to help the Global Performance Marketing team improve the effectiveness and efficiency of their investments to achieve their goals
    • Leverage existing tools to help facilitate and build the narratives around quarterly forecasts and changes when comparing investments YoY and QoQ
    • Create data visualizations to provide greater transparency for our stakeholders at the regional and/or market level where possible
    • Report efficiency of ad hoc campaigns and their impact to evergreen initiatives
    • Partner cross functionally with other analysts, data scientists, and data engineers to build and maintain data pipelines, processes, and reporting solutions/visualizations to help enhance data narratives
    • Contextualize all findings and insights with marketing knowledge and media landscape considerations

Who you are

    • Intellectually curious, open-minded, and enjoy working in a constantly evolving environment
    • A skilled communicator, who focuses just as much on the delivery and the “so what” of your insights, as you do on the technical craft of extracting them
    • Experienced in taking vague questions and crystallizing them into impactful experiments, analyses, or models
    • You have a degree in a quantitative field, such as Computer Science/Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics
    • Strong analytical skills, including data extraction and analysis using SQL/Google BigQuery and comfortability operating in Google Sheets and Google Slides
    • Experience building data visualizations and dashboards (e.g., Tableau or similar BI solution)1-3 years of experience in an analytics role; a Performance Marketing analytics specific role highly preferred
    • Strong understanding of digital media strategy and the ever evolving attribution landscape; Performance Marketing experience preferred
